THE ANIMALS
Our four-legged and feathered residents
At L'Attrape-Rêves, a discovery farm nestled in the Cévennes hills of the Ardèche, the animals aren't mere decoration: they're the real residents of the place, cared for all year round. This family activity in the Ardèche invites young and old alike to slow down, observe, and build a genuine bond with the living world.
Our donkeys, with their curious, oversized ears, love a cuddle and a shared moment. The pygmy goats, playful and affectionate, are always up for a game. The hens wander freely, going about their own little world, and the pigs, kings of the afternoon nap, savour every quiet moment.
Unlike a zoo, there's no glass or impersonal fencing here: you get close, you feed, you observe at animal height. It's a children's park in the Cévennes designed around gentle animal-assisted activities, run by La Compagnie des Songes, an association based on site year-round.
Other residents may well join the family as the seasons go by — every visit could bring a new encounter.
